We have partnered up with Daikin to offer the Daikin fit system. It is a heat pump meaning its variable speed inverter can help cool or heat your home through high efficiency precision. Only providing the HVAC system with the amount of power needed to hit the temperature set point. The consistency makes the home more comfortable. The equipment helps dehumidify and also very quiet.
Specifically, If you have electric heating and don’t have a high efficiency variable speed unit you most likely are setting yourself up to not be able to have grid independence too well. Most electric heating does not work well under 40 degrees and requires heat strips that consume 15-20 kW. These massive pulls of power can drain a battery system very quickly or completely shut it down. If the temperature is consistently in a zone where a heating system needs aux or emergency heat it is very hard to back up.
The Daikin fit system cools very effecienciently, but also heats at 100% normal heating capacity down to -10 degrees. Everything stems from the variable speed inverter technology which Daikin is the best in the world at for HVAC units.
Daikin has a manufacturing facility in Waller, Texas that has over 4.2 million sq ft of manufacturing.
